Visit Wahab Herbs to find rare medicinal roots sourced from the thick jungles of Kelantan and Terengganu. They employ people from the indigenous Orang Asli tribe to find varieties of the famous Tongkat Ali, a root famed for boosting virility. “You never know what you find at the Rope Walk” says D. Lee “I was looking for second-hand books when I chanced upon a bizarre and bewildering find - minyak belacak (mudskipper oil) for male genital enhancement”.
Local tip
The chicken rice at Bee Hin Kopitiam (Bee Hin coffee shop) is very popular among locals for its fragrant rice and juicy and tender roast chicken. It is a uniquely Malay take on a popular local Chinese dish.
