The owner and all his staff come from Taungyi Village in the Ayewaddy Delta. The teashop is clean and welcoming, with a good variety of food and a lively atmosphere. They offer typical Myanmar dishes and free tea available all day.

Paratha, a local speciality

The word paratha translates as ‘layers of cooked dough’. It is made by cooking a wheat paste on a large frying pan. The bean paratha and egg paratha here are really delicious. Great to eat with sweet Burmese tea or a fresh fruit juice.
