Villa Rivierzicht
This charming colonial villa ‘Rivierzicht’ was once a private residence, then became the famous progressive Taman Wisna school (pupil’s garden), the first school for ‘indigenous’ residents in the city in the colonial days. When the school closed in 2004 the property was left vacant, but it has now been turned into a wonderful small museum dedicated to the history of education.
Journey to the Past
For many Surabaya residents, this museum makes for more than an educational visit, it is like stepping into a window of the past the past. premises is like visiting your grandparent’s homes, a visit where the past becomes the present.
