Have a khaman
Amdavadis don't need much reason to binge on fresh local snacks. Birthdays, festivals, gatherings and any other joyous occasion is incomplete without packets of Khaman! Khaman is a soft, spongy traditional steamed cake prepared from besan (gram flour). It is served hot and fresh with a layer of mustard seeds in oil, accompanied by green chillies and onions. It is a popular Gujarati dish which is often served along with Dhokla, another form of steamed/baked savoury cake.
Loyal clientele
A firm local favourite, this place has many long-time customers “Any occasion, random caving, family gathering...we always bring Khaman from here. It is close to our house and the shopkeepers know us by now “says Rajubhai, resident of Moto Sutharwado.
